Interview Policy for Consulting, Training, and Instructor Roles Black In HR | Independent Contractor Engagement As part of our commitment to professionalism and legal compliance, this policy outlines expectations for individuals participating in interviews with Black In HR for contract-based roles, including consultants, instructors, and facilitators. 1. Purpose of the Interview Interviews are designed to assess alignment with Black In HR’s values, audience, and program needs. These sessions are not employment interviews, but rather exploratory meetings for potential independent contractor engagements. 2. Contractor Status All positions discussed are for independent contractor roles, not employment. Under Georgia law, these roles are not eligible for employee benefits, tax withholdings, or unemployment insurance. Candidates must be able to operate autonomously and provide services under their own name or business. 3. What to Expect During the interview, you may meet with leadership, including content leads, coordinators, or members of our programming team. You may be asked to: Share your subject matter expertise Describe your facilitation or instructional style Review sample content or ideas for collaboration Speak to your ability to deliver services independently 4. Professionalism & Confidentiality Candidates are expected to maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding any internal information shared during the interview process. Materials or ideas presented remain the intellectual property of Black In HR unless otherwise agreed in writing. 5. Next Steps Following the interview, selected candidates may receive an invitation to submit a contractor agreement and supporting documents (e.g., W-9, rate sheet, proposal outline). Engagement is not guaranteed until a formal agreement is executed.
